Regional Track Meet

Sun, lots of talented high school track stars, staying in a cool hotel...(well, with what seemed like over a thousand other high school track stars), lots of coffee and green citrus tea, laughter with friends, good food, and so much more.
It was a fun two days. Will got third in the high jump. Lost out on going to state by two misses. Oh well, he is looking forward to college and is ok. Only 5 days of school left. Should go fast because there is so much to do. Here is a little verse my Mom sent me this morning...

"Mother's Covers"
When you were small and just a touch away,
I covered you with blankets against the cold night air.
But, now that you are grown and out of reach
I fold my hands and cover you with prayer.

Blessings on all of you other mother's that are drying tears each day anticipating graduation. Cry and be thankful and smile! That is what I keep telling myself.

Please continue to keep Sierra in your prayers. She is hanging on and is in hospice care. Pray for her mama Lisa. Thank you!

This a picture of one of our sweet youth group girls. She had a great time in her mile. Way to go Becca!
Wes wanted to be in a picture! ha. Mr. cool.

This is really just an inside joke with all the people that we were sitting with. This person walked out on the field and everyone was very interested in the way she looked. She must be one of those body builder people. We are still not sure of gender. :)

William on the medal stand.

This is the only picture I got of him jumping. We were so far away that I really could not tell what it looked like when I was taking it. As it turned out there were people and a timer box in front of him. So, I hardly got him in the pic. Silly, but it made me snicker. To all of you people who are expert photographers...please accept my apology.
Blessings on your day!

I loved the prayer!

Way to go on 3rd! That's great!!!

Okay. Um, wow on the picture of the person. That was very interesting.

I keep telling myself that before I know it I'll only have 5 days left. Reading your blog about your boys always reminds me to look at Cannon with softer eyes. I know my time with him will go by fast.

Congrats to Will. Looks like his year is ending well for him. I know it has to be a two edges sword for you though. Hang in there!
