We HAVE to Wake Up!

Please watch the video above. It is about the "Copenhagen Treaty on Climate Debt". When our president signs this treaty we will then be in debt to the rest of the world because of the energy we have used in our country. There will be no going back and we will be controlled by the UN. The aim is to give a new as yet unnamed U.N. body the power to directly intervene in the financial, economic, tax and environmental affairs of all the nations that sign the Copenhagen treaty. Do not let spacious plans for a new world divert your energies from saving what is left of the old. Winston Churchill

The Morning

Image
I went outside this morning to take the picture above of a sunrise becoming really lovely and saw the picture below and snapped it too. In my opinion the one below is even more lovely. Sid and Wes enjoying coffee and conversation over breakfast. Nice. He is a great Daddy. One of my favorite scriptures is: Psalm 5:3 In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. Hope that you had a wonderful morning and I especially hope you had a blessed time visiting with God before you got going on your day. I just cleaned up breakfast and am heading for my "time". When I neglect Him I am just a shell of who I could be. Blessings.

2 of my favorite people...

Image
We had a good time with two of my favorite people in the world over the weekend. Michael and Jan McCoy...my little brother and sister-n-law. They came back by here on the way home from a Camp Blue Haven board meeting. Michael is the director of Camp Blue Haven and Jan is his side kick and glue that helps hold the camp together. God has blessed them with an incredible job that enables them to help so many campers and teachers know God better and see Him more clearly. We watched Colt's game together and Sunday we worshipped together and had lunch. They bring me joy in so many ways. Of course Michael needs to be slapped silly once a day! :) Thank you for coming to see us Michael and Jan and for the laughter and fellowship! We love you!!! This is a very random picture of a wasp I snapped walking out of the house on Sunday morning. He is so gorgeous. Just look at how detailed and lovely God made him. I think it is a him? Michael told me about the song that is playing, "When I Get W

Autumn..

Autumn, the year's last, loveliest smile. - William Cullen Bryant Autumn burned brightly, a running flame through the mountains, a torch flung to the trees. Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree. No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace. As I have seen in one autumnal face. ~John Donne I've never known anyone yet who doesn't suffer a certain restlessness when autumn rolls around... The Chronicles of Narnia and Celtic Woman...

I love books and I love music. One author, C.S. Lewis has had such a profound effect on my life. He valiantly points his readers to Jesus Christ in such beautifully crafted words. I started reading the Chronicles of Narnia when I was in the 6th grade at Taylor Elementary in Abilene ,Texas. I found The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe on the shelves in the library. At that time I had no idea of the parallel between his books and the bible. I just loved the story. I have read them over and over since and every time see more of my Jesus and the vision of heaven in each reading. I am thankful for him and for (as I have read) that J.R.R. Tolkien led him to know our Jesus. Thank you Father for his influence for You in his writings. He has so many other profound and incredible books such as The Screwtape Letters. Here is a listing of his books: http://www.cslewis.com/books.aspx My sweet and wonderful sister in law introduced me to Celtic Woman music a while back. I loved the song on the end o

Fall Break

Image
This past weekend was Will's fall break from college. He came home on Thurs. to see Wes play and then we went to Denver City on Friday to see another Mustang game. Sat. morning we got up before the sun came up to drive to Austin to see Colt play and then to the Ranch for the night and Sunday. He flew back to Arkansas this morning early. It was so wonderful to have him home and I was very thankful to have the whole family together for a weekend. We really miss Will. It was a busy, road trip of a weekend, but a fun one. I have not really written much lately and have only posted pictures mostly. Forgive me, but life is really crazy and interesting right now. Gathering coherent thoughts is not an easy task! ha. I am working on it. Blessings on your day today. If you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 1 Pet. 4:10 At the Denver City game. These two boys love to fight and mess with each other while their parents are trying to drive. They ha

All The Chicks Under One Roof.

It is a cloudy, cold Friday morning, but we are all cheerful and sunshiny inside this house. Will is home for the weekend! He is on fall break and we are loving having him HOME! I have been thanking God just for the fact that we all were under the same roof last night. God is so good! I pray that your weekend is a wonderful one. We are going to be busy and running around but the weekend is filled with seeing family and friends and lots football. The perfect weekend according to the men that I live with. :) I agree! Blessings! Here is something really cute and nostalgic if you are my age or older: MEMORIES from a friend: My Dad is cleaning out my grandmother's house,(she died in December), and he brought me an old Royal Crown Cola bottle. In the bottle top was a stopper with a bunch of holes in it. I knew immediately what it was, but my daughter had no idea. She thought they'd tried to make it a salt shaker or something. I knew it as the bottle that sat on the end of the wooden

True Beauty comes from within!

It is so sad that as women we all look at the models and pictures in magazines and movie stars wanting to look like "them". THEY are not even themselves. I say..."You are gorgeous!" to all the beautiful women I that I know and love, "Just the way God made you!" 1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Blessings! Amy

Heart Warming Weekend

Psalm 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. Good morning! We had a wonderful time with Brad and family singing at his church this past weekend. I love my family and love being with them. What a blessing they are to me. Here are some photos of the weekend. We have been singing together for 24 years. I can't believe it has been that long. It has been a fun time and such a great thing for all of us. I pray that we will all continue to: Give thanks to the LORD because of His righteousness and sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High!!!! Ps. 7:17 Love Sid's hugs. Cousins...they are so cute. Mom and Dad. What can I say? They are THE BEST! My handsome older brother. He sure looks good in blue. The McCoy Family Singers. Ben Zane. He makes me laugh. Sweethearts Wes on his tippy toes trying to be taller than Colt and Case. Always competing. Rachel and
