The Chronicles of Narnia and Celtic Woman...

I love books and I love music. One author, C.S. Lewis has had such a profound effect on my life. He valiantly points his readers to Jesus Christ in such beautifully crafted words. I started reading the Chronicles of Narnia when I was in the 6th grade at Taylor Elementary in Abilene ,Texas. I found The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe on the shelves in the library. At that time I had no idea of the parallel between his books and the bible. I just loved the story. I have read them over and over since and every time see more of my Jesus and the vision of heaven in each reading. I am thankful for him and for (as I have read) that J.R.R. Tolkien led him to know our Jesus. Thank you Father for his influence for You in his writings. He has so many other profound and incredible books such as The Screwtape Letters. Here is a listing of his books: http://www.cslewis.com/books.aspx

My sweet and wonderful sister in law introduced me to Celtic Woman music a while back. I loved the song on the end of the Prince Caspian movie, but had not ever heard that voice before. It was Lisa Kelly of Celtic Woman. This group has an incredible, pure, other worldly sound. I absolutely love how they sound. The first video is of her singing "The Voice." The second video is from "Prince Caspian" and the song on it is lovely and is sung by Regina Spector. The third video below is of Lisa Kelly singing "Send Me A Song".

I want to encourage you to read the Chronicles of Narnia. The books to some seem very childish, but I dare you to see with spiritual eyes the connections he makes to God's word. For some strange reason these books inspire me and cause my heart to long for heaven and all that God has planned for His children. They make me long for Him. Blessings. Amy

Narnia -- what we are truly longing for... keep longing & looking & be ready for the day.

If you feel like it, call me in the next few days (325/480-1023) Rings on my computer.

Could use some time visiting & sharing a cup of hot chocolate -- it is cold & snowy here.

Remember to spend some time "playing" with Aslan each day.

Blessings!
