Interview after game: Colt

I am so proud of Colt. There are no words for the misery he is feeling. I am heartbroken for him. I am also thoughtful about how this ended. He was able to speak from his heart about loving and trusting God even in hard times. I am awed at how his words touched people and how God was glorified. I praise You Father for Colt's love for you and for your comfort and peace.

Peace. In all circumstances...He gives peace if we just ask for it.

God's peace...is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.

Phil. 4:7

Blessings. The sun is shining...

I'm just say'n...I went to bed last night and thought of the witness that Colt allowed himself to be last night in the interview. His last words still ring in my mind ...."Jesus is my rock". I'm so proud of how He's ALLOWED God to use Him. There are so many talented young athletes out there...but few use the gift to speak to the world for God. What a testiment to how you all have raised him and the strong family support he must have. Awesome. My students were talking about Colt in class this morning. Some kids mentioned the injury, but one little girl (10 yrs. old) mentioned his interview. She also said, "ya, he's that 'I'm second' guy". What a role model Colt has been and will continue to be.

I have to tell you, Colt broke our hearts last night. I can't imagine the inner struggle he had with not being able to come back into the game. I have been so frustrated with news people today that speculated he could have come back into the game. They should know the character he has after watching him these past 4 years.

Zach was so upset for Colt but I know he was soaking in every bit of his post-game interview. Zach has been tested many times this yr with his faith but has maintained. I think watching Colt and Jordan has helped him so much.

We r not real big NFL fans but we will be in Colts corner no matter where he goes!
