C. Station Weekend...

Great times from Thurs., Wesley's track meet to being in College Station with DaddyBob. We went to an Aggie baseball game, the boys and Sid and his Dad went fishing all day on Sat., worship on Sunday and Aggie Football practice in the afternoon. Good stuff. Will talked to the Recruiting coach and things look pretty positive to walk on if he gets accepted in school. He is very excited and ready to work hard. Anyway, busy week going on here with lots needing to be done in the garden area and flower beds. Of course TONS of laundry, wisdom teeth check up tomorrow for Will. I have to teach Ladies Bible class on Wed. night. (HELP!!!!) Still waiting for inspiration from the Lord. Teaching gives me hives. Seriously. Wes has his district track meet on Thurs. all day and then we are helping with a Youth retreat on Friday and Sat. Of course I hope to take time off to be on our Town Square on Sat. for the Tax Day Tea Party. Life is busy and good. I pray that your life is good and that we can all strive to continue to walk the walk and talk the talk. Just some pictures...

Great pictures, Amy! The look that Wes was giving you, "mom, don't be a creeper"...I have had that look MANY times from Bailey! Hey, if that's the heaviest of the baggage we leave them with - then, hey - life is good!

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Mom's Apricot Cobbler...

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy. Camp Blue Haven-2012

Mountains green, sparkling streams, every morning you greet me. Pine trees tall, waterfalls, blue skies canopied o'er me. May I know as I live and grow, God forsakes me never. May His love from above bless Blue Haven forever.  And what a blessing it was this summer to be back up in the cool mountains with so many people that we love.  As I reflected on this special place I thought about how big of an influence it has been on our children and our hearts.  At camp time slows down. There are so few distractions. The focus is on fellowship, enjoying God's creation and growing in knowledge of Him.  It has been a place to teach us what our life in this world should be about. It has also been a glimpse of what I think heaven will be a little like.  It has taught us to stay close to one another, to be accountable to each other and to live an out loud life for Christ.
