Aggie Weekend...

Good morning! The air is cool and there is less smoke this morning here in East Texas. Praise the Lord!  I wanted to post some pics and tell you about our past weekend. We were blessed by Sid's dad to be able to go to the first Aggie football game for this year. We invited my brother and family because they had never been to an Aggie home game.  It was such a great blessing to be there with Sid's dad and to see our boys and spend time with Michael, Jan and family.  The cold front (cool front) blew through just in time for the game on Sunday night and the temps were very pleasant compared to how it usually is at the first few games in College Station. The picture above is one of the band marching at half time. The one below is of Brad and his business partner and friend Lee. They are Flippen consultants/coaches for some of the Aggie football players. They were on the sidelines. Fun seeing Brad down there. Weird, but fun.
This is a pretty good (if I do say so myself) creeper picture from the opposite side of the stadium of Will and friends. It is a challenge to find them and try to take their picture at each game we attend. Pretty funny.
Aggie football...is good fun, and wow, all of the talk about switching conferences is overwhelming. I am not up on it all enough to comment on the move to the SEC. Too much yack about that going on right now...except to say...it is happening. People should get over it.
I do have a love for Texas though because of Colt and now Case. Not into the politics of it all but I am sure it will all be ok when the dust settles. By the way, put Casey in! Dad gum it! Let that boy show what he can do! Don't get me started...grrrrr....
I am  in love with these people. Ben is not mentally challenged...he was just trying to look like it.
You are loads of fun Benjamin Bunny.
Greg, Wes, Zane and Ben...at the AFC tailgate party
The Aggie Band marches in a few hours before the game.
Ben is standing out in the street as they are coming toward us.
 My wonderful men.
This video is one of the Aggie band marching in before a game.  They march down this boulevard and split. You can stand out in the middle of them and it is way cool.  Enjoy.
(Pause the blog music at the bottom of the page.)

Just want to leave you with a good word for today.
Ps. 37:4
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Blessings. Amy

Hi! Amy enjoyed pics of your foot ball outing! but the pics below are so sad w/the fires! I have been watching on the news and really been praying for this area as well! and just to say is that I know that God is encircling the earth and He knows all about it!! keep trusting!! Have a great day:)
Oh looks like you all had great fun!
Thanks for your sweet words tonight.
Have a wonderful evening!
Oh our son was in Aggie land last weekend...while we were home watching the horns!! You have to love them all....it is just tradition, and as for the politics...well I just hate seeing all the teams get slit up...from a 50 year old who wants everyone to still play each other.

Enjoy...and I hope you are adjusting to that empty nest

Looks like a blast!

Did you go to Laramie, WY last year for the Texas-Wyoming game? Some of Colts cousins went to church in Cheyenne, WY the next morning and met my son, Wes, who was the youth minister there. Wes told me about it. That might have been your kids.

Also, do you get the Christian Chronicle? There is an article about Wes and the Cheyenne youth ministry in there this month.
