Killer Bees,(maybe) and a Remodel...

Good morning! I enjoyed an extra long walk this morning with a friend. It was nice.
Came home to see these mean little critters drinking my sweet humming birdies food.
Grrr...anyone have any ideas on how to keep these little pests away from a hummingbird feeder?
Usually I just have wasps on the feeder but I think we had some African Killer Bees come through! Yikes!
 These pictures are not in order like they should be. It should be the old garage pics first and then the remodel pictures next but I am just a little lazy this morning and have a long list to get too so I am leaving it this way. Anyway, we had fun having this room redone for the boys to live in. They love it and hopefully it will be a great home for them for all the coming years they are in college.

By the way, Wes went on an AFC trip this weekend and a sweet blogger friend of mine goes to the church where they worked for the weekend. Jennifer and Wes were able to meet and he loved talking to her.

Good job on the remodel!

You know I have a Wes-ton! Yours is really cute! I like the long hair! But I know how I feel about my boys when they need a haircut, too!

I am Jennifer's best buddy and I had the pleasure of having Wes stay at my home this weekend. He was such a joy and we enjoyed him so much. You have raised an amazing young man and I know you are so proud of him.

I will have to start following your blog so I can keep up with him.

I don't have bees...just ants in my hummingbird feeder...Not a bee fan.

Nice remodel work...Our bathroom makeover started this morning...I can't wait to see the finished product!

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Mom's Apricot Cobbler...

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy. Camp Blue Haven-2012

Mountains green, sparkling streams, every morning you greet me. Pine trees tall, waterfalls, blue skies canopied o'er me. May I know as I live and grow, God forsakes me never. May His love from above bless Blue Haven forever.  And what a blessing it was this summer to be back up in the cool mountains with so many people that we love.  As I reflected on this special place I thought about how big of an influence it has been on our children and our hearts.  At camp time slows down. There are so few distractions. The focus is on fellowship, enjoying God's creation and growing in knowledge of Him.  It has been a place to teach us what our life in this world should be about.
