Part 1...Alaska Trip...Seattle

Hey! We are home and I have had a day to rest a little...needed that, and am working on getting my land legs and fuzzy swimmy head back in order. Cruises are FUN but I am still feeling the motion of the ship now three days later. Whew. What a wonderful trip full of lots of time to talk and laugh and see new (to me), beautiful land that God made.  I am so thankful to have been able to take this trip with my Mom and sisters (in law), and I am also thankful to come home to my kind, loving, awesome husband. I missed him. We were blessed to be able to share a meal with my cousin Rick Gibson the night before we flew out from DFW. So good to see him! Here are some pictures of our first leg to and in Seattle.
These pictures are not in order. This new layout in Blogger is messing with me. Everything seems backwards. Anyway, the picture above is of us sailing away from Seattle. The one below is of my beautiful, inside and out sisters.  Can't put into words what these two girls mean to me. They are a blessing to my life.
We were blessed to worship with some sweet brother's and sister's last Sunday morning in Seattle. LaConia Maxwell is the gorgeous woman on the far right. She played basketball at ACU for Dad years back. Her husband Apollos preaches at the Holgate Church of Christ. It was a special time of worship and hearing the word spoken so lovingly and with great passion. I think we could have just come on home after that worship time and have been content with the trip stopping right there.
It was a great time of blessing for us all.
This picture was taken down in front of the Pike's Place Market. What a gorgeous place.  See the two guys walking to the right of us? They broke into a fight just after this picture was taken. Weird.  Anyway, the flowers and fruits and vegetables and fish were SO unbelievable and beautiful. Loved seeing this market. Loved the cool weather too. It is Autumn in Seattle. Nice.
Balloon man. People watching was quite fun.
At the Fish Market. This guy was funny. Debra yelled at him to throw a fish and he made her come and take a picture with him. Lots of laughs.
Silly fun...creeping on the banjo player...
The colors of the fruits and veggies were well...breathtaking. Honest.
You can loose your breath over fruits and veggies!
 Fish lips.
The flowers were cheap and huge and gorgeous. Not as gorgeous as these girls though.
If I lived there I would be tempted to have fresh flowers in the house everyday.
We visited the original Starbucks. It was pretty cool but I can't put any pictures of the original sign on here. Goodness, the original Starbucks lady does not have any clothes on. My, my. We tried the new flavor- Salted Carmel Mocha...I think that is what is was. Delish!
The four of us tramping around Seattle. Fun.
This little fruit picture is out of order, but I had to leave it in. SO colorful and lovely.
Food for Thought:
Ecc. 7:8 - Patience is better than pride.
9-Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the laps of fools.
12- wisdom preserves the life of it's possessor.
18- the man who fears God will avoid all extremes.
8:1- wisdom brightens a man's face- and changes it's hard appearance.
Well, I pray that your day is going great. I have a long list to get crossed off. The sun is shining and we eagerly await Autumn temperatures here. I hope they come soon! Blessings. Amy

I have always wanted to travel to Seattle and this post isn't helping my poor-college-student-self let that dream go. I love your colorful pictures....and it's so great to know that you have great times with your girlfriends! I don't think I'll ever want to let that go...at any point in my life :)
