Feeling Fifty Today...

I am tired. We have been packing and packing and packing and well, I am just tired and feeling 50.
In the middle of the boxes I decided we needed to sit
down with a fresh cup of coffee and watch some football. Nice break.

I am feeling a little like this blog has taken a strange turn also. It seems like photographs are my form of communication right now because of the busy state of life and my not being able to put two interesting thoughts together. ha. I am laughing but it is true.
So...hoping to feel a little settled and focused soon. (Blaming menopause.)
Hoping also to be able to find my socks and the can opener too.

My wonderful husband made final copies of his dissertation today.
He will be defending on Dec. 1st.
So very proud of him and all of the hard work
and perseverance to finish this goal.
You rock honey!
I was downtown a few days ago and saw this way cool car. I thought of our boys and the fact that they would love it. It even had a surf board on top! What? Strange but super looking.
God's word is so comforting and gives us strength when we don't have much strength of our own. So many people are hurting and some fighting for their lives. Praying for Samantha: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/samanthabahl
 and for Anne:

God is faithful and is there even in the midst of fear and pain.

Blessed are those whose strength is in You,
who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.
Ps. 84:5
Blessings! Amy

Way to go! Both of you. I saw your stack of games there, just played the game of Life with my little neighbor while her sister went for x-rays. Had some good friend time!
Hello Amy!

So nice stopping by to visit with you! I have perused many of your posts and enjoyed getting to know you a bit. Sweet family ~ love the post with your boys and their friends :) Great photos of them having fun together.

You have a lovely, God-honoring place here. Nice to meet you!

Kindly, Lorraine

Hi Amy - Best of luck to your hubby! I'm sure he'll do great - that's been some big job - that dissertation.

I agree with you about the Lord being our comfort. I don't know what the folks do with the Lord on their side. To be able to find peace in the midst of the storm, and we ALL have our storms, and to have God as our Rock to cling to... well, that's the only way we can make it! Get some rest, Amy, in the midst of your move!

Have a good week - and thank you for your sweet spirit.
