Camp Blue Haven 2013...

Howdy!
This is Sandy.
She is the CBH guardian, keeping everyone safe from bears and fast moving UPS trucks.
Just don't mess with her food. :)
We love her.
We just made it back from a wonderful, fast trip to the New Mexico mountains and Blue Haven Christian youth camp. This trip is truly one of the highlights of every year.  We are so thrilled to have been blessed to teach first session for the past 11 years. We get to teach but we seem to learn so much spiritually ourselves when we attend camp.  What a blessing to be a part of this place that I call "a taste of heaven."
 Silly songs in the barn...
And, believe me, it is silly...
Speaking of silly- THESE GUYS! One of which is our youngest gentle giant. God has blessed him to be a camp counselor all summer in the cool mountains of New Mexico. So thankful.
Well- no words for how funny this moment was...
Opening campfire...
Sid's birthday always falls during camp time.
Boy, does he hate being sung to...but we all love laughing at with him.
Fun hikes and waves from the top of mountains...
 Love these faces...
 Ropes challenges...
Love each and every one of these people...2013 counselors.

Go ahead- JUMP...
 Our sweet Wesley and friends...
The best cinnamon rolls EVER. Thank you Jennifer...you are a food magician!
Teachers and ropes and kitchen help...

Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
Love this boy...thankful he is bringing the good news to campers...
Our precious sister in law Debra. What a blessing to spend time with her...
 Worship time...
 Low ropes. Working together...
 Wes and precious Kylee...
Ky right before proclaiming that Jesus is her Lord and Savior.
Then down into the river to come up new and filled with the Spirit of God...
So, thanks for taking a peek into our camp time.
We miss it already but that is ok.
We are supposed to miss a place that smells and tastes a little bit like we think heaven will be.
May we always feel that longing for heaven and for seeing the face of our Jesus.
Thank you God for this time of renewal and for putting longing in hearts for You.

How awesome! That reminds me a little bit of Wilderness Trek. Looks like some great times and a select group of enthusiastic teachers/counselors. No wonder everyone loves CBH!
