Goodbye Winter...

Image
I am SO loving saying see ya later to this:  I really like winter and the cold but it has just been a bit too long this year. Now with spring trying to stick around I am LOVING seeing these beauties outside my window in the early morning. They start talking and singing about 30 minutes before the sun comes up. Then the sun shines and we can see their majestic beauty. Thank you Father God. Psalm 145:10-11 Creation and creatures applaud you,  God ; your holy people bless you. They talk about the glories of your rule, they exclaim over your splendor...

This handsome young gentle giant of ours had a birthday in the past few weeks. I was informed that he was a bit miffed that I did not write the usual yearly blog post about his birth.I apologized profusely. Honestly, blogging has not been on the radar much the past 6 months for me. I miss it but have never been this distracted and busy. I blame it on a new job (a major adjustment) and helping plan a wedding and well- can I blame the rest on just my 50 plus year old mind? Ok. I will. So- Happy Birthday our sweet Wesley. Looks like yesterday you caught you a fish to put in the record books. Congrats!! You are very loved. Other youngest gentle giant news- he has been hired to go back to Camp Blue Haven for his second year as a counselor. Love, love, love this. God is so good.  Anyone tired of the cold? While in Houston a few days ago I snapped this picture of a tree in full bloom. We are praying that the freezing temps are over and that we can put some flowers in our sad

Our precious Candace and Will had their first of two wedding showers last Sunday.  How wonderful it is to be in fellowship in a loving church.  It is such a great blessing to be cared for by people that love God and love to bless and encourage their brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you to all who worked so hard decorating and cooking and making this shower for our kids so lovely and enjoyable. Thank you also to all of the sweet people who blessed them with gifts that they will enjoy for so many years to come. Overwhelmed with how loving and giving you are. Thankful. So thankful. My wonderful Mom was able to come visit for a few days and be at the shower. It was a special time for all of us to be together.  Wasn't this table lovely??!! This was a couples shower. I had never been to a couples shower before. Let me tell you- it was a great hit! Our good friend and cousin Kelly Davidson was the barista and made out of this world lattes for everyone. So fun and yu
