Wedding Photo Blitz...

Image
This is funny- do you see the 4 guys on the second row behind the batter? Will is in the light blue shirt. They went to a Ranger's game on Friday night before he got married on Sunday.  So funny that they were on camera most of the game.  Who'd a thought? Ok- here goes. So many great pictures.  Gorgeous reception hall...  Yellows and blues... Our friend Shana from Shallowater, Texas made the cakes. She is a cake genius. So lovely.   There were photos of the grandmother's that have gone on before us all. Precious.  Lots of laughter...  My sweetheart... Good friends...  Chance, Case and Sarah. Thanks for being there!  Chad Montandon officiated and blessed Candace and Will...  Her wonderful brothers escorted her in and gave her away...  Crazy people...  Sweet Carole and Jim with the newlyweds... We took several pictures of our family but none were very good. So- here is one that makes me laugh. No one can sm

Wedding Morning Worship...

Image
I have to tell you about the most wonderful thing that happened over the weekend. Don't get me wrong- the wedding was powerful and sweet and could not have been more precious, but what happened on the morning of the wedding was heavenly. Most of our wedding party and families all stayed at the same hotel through the weekend. We decided to have a time of worship on Sunday morning before all the wedding busyness started. The girls and the brides family were going to meet and worship and our family and the groomsmen were going to have our own time of worship.  This of course was because of the tradition that the bride and groom not see each other before the wedding. One of the most beautiful things about a weekend like this is that you get to be with lovely people that you are most close with and the fellowship is rich.  This precious girl below (our bride) asked several of us in tears if it would be ok to throw tradition to the wind and all worship together. She just could not

Wedding Weekend- Rehearsal Dinner...

Image
What a whirlwind- incredible wedding weekend. All I heard about being the parent of someone getting married was that it was expensive (true) and crazy and a exhausting, etc. and on and on. Most comments were not all that positive. Yes, it was tiring but what people did not talk about was how awesome the fellowship and what a blessing to be in the midst of so many people that you love. I would do this past weekend over and over again. Joyful. It was joyful. We had the rehearsal dinner at a nice Mexican food place called Blue Mesa Grill. These are a few of the table decorations that we worked on for a few weeks before. It was so much fun getting all of this ready and watching it come together. The picture frames above were just cheap black frames from the Dollar store with pics of our kids in them. You just tape the sides together inside and leave the back cover of the frames off so that candle light shines through the pictures. Loved this idea and it turned out so very sw

He Asked, She Said Yes...

Hey friends! These two are getting married very, very soon.   :) God is incredibly faithful and good. We could not love her more. We are so proud of our oldest gentle giant and his heart for God and love for this girl. Thank you for your prayers for their life lived together to glorify Jesus. "Don't blink because childhood goes so fast,"said by so many when our kids were little. They were right . Everyday is a gift of time to draw our children's hearts and minds to God. Everyday is a cherished tic toc of the clock to enjoy and love them with great intention. This picture below was taken at Carlsbad Caverns when Will was about 6 years old.  Big brother checking on and loving his little brother. Precious, sweet Candace. My- how those eyes shine. So, we are looking forward to a great celebration with family and friends. What fun it will be. Let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; let
