Red River Encampment and the Rest of June...

Good morning on this hot, glorious (steamy and humid) summer day!
We are trying with all of our hearts to find the thankful in everything. There is so much to be thankful for if you just look at all things with the glass half full attitude. Working on it. Only through His eyes there is grace, mercy, blessings and thankfulness.
I thought you might like to see how these lovely flowers are singing joy this morning...

Isaiah 40:8

The grass withers and the flowers fall,

but the word of our God endures forever.
June was a blast!!
We were blessed (not Sid- he had to work...boo hoo.) to be able to be at the Red River Encampment again this summer. It was been a beautiful part of our spiritual story for the past 24 years.  What a blessing it has been in building knowledge and heart for God and in meeting and having sweet Christian friendships.
My quiet and tranquil perch up in the trees at our condo. Cool breezes and birds singing. I can still hear it.
 No words for this beauty...
As beautiful as the picture is above, this one below is more so. My sweet strong mama drinking coffee and reading the Bible early in the morning. These times are precious. The sun and the son shines on...
The scenery on the road to Red River from Camp Blue Haven through Mora. One of the loveliest roads in our country.
 Precious times with this sister.

And this brother...
My other sister and brother in the McCoy family were only there for a few hours.
Missed taking a photo with them. :(

Shifting forward to the end of June...
We made a quick trip to see Garner State Park.
What a wonderful park. The cool  err... cold Frio river flows through this magical place.

So- now that we are all settling into a hot, wonderful summer-
I pray blessings on each day and moment for all of us!
A powerful scripture that we used with our campers this summer...

Hey there Amy. Just wanted to stop by and tell you how very much I appreciate your prayers and encouragement after the passing of my beloved sister Lisa. You and I are sisters in Christ and it was a treasure to me for you to reach out to me. This is indeed hard to bear, but the Lord is comforting and replacing our grief with His peace. Thank you again so much! Your pictures from Red River and River Frio are beautiful. I'd love to jump in the Frio - the water looks wonderful.....

Hi Amy, I am your newest follower. Found you through Diana Ferguson-so glad I did. We have similar blog names and of course of heart of love for Jesus. You've got a wonderful blog, incredible photos and such Life that flows through here. Beautiful scenery-though I don't recognize it.
Blessings,
Noreen
