Quick Stop In New Orleans...

Image
First stop...
This was a fun experience and super good food... We stayed in a little apartment right in the French Quarter off of Frenchman's street.  Our oldest son talked us into finding a place to stay from this website: Airbnb I was a little hesitant but it was wonderful and quirky and quaint and within walking distance to many tourist attractions. Oh, and it was only $100.00 for 5 of us. 3 bedrooms, kitchen and 1 bath. Yep. Nice.

We walked around and took in all the humidity and sights that we could. It's an interesting place.  Just say NO to this street. Bourbon St. We accidentally roamed down it for a few blocks. Dark.
The huge live oaks were absolutely gorgeous.
We enjoyed an early supper and then a long sit and talk on our balcony. You could hear the jazz from Frenchman's street very clearly. It was nice. When we got up in the morning our battery on the car was dead. Believe me, we were begging for help. Amazing how many people just looked away. God is good tho…

Beach Time...Summer Fun...

Good morning. We arrived back home yesterday from a relaxing and wonderful time of fellowship with family at the beach.  It was a strange week with lots of storms and rain and way to much  interesting/yucky stuff washing up on the beach out of the gulf, but still it was lovely and restful.  I have come home feeling lots more concerned about pollution of our oceans and how we are taking care of them.
Over all it was a super time.  The best part was how gorgeous the clouds were.  With big storms come lots of beautiful clouds. I love puffy clouds. We have very gracious and kind relatives that let us enjoy their beach house. Isn't it lovely?  What a blessing to be able to spend a week with these three. The loves of our life.
This was my wonderful husband's favorite place to sit and read.  I think he read 2 books in about 4 days sitting right here.  See?  What a blessing to spend time with my sister in love and my brother and family.

Crazy kiddos.  The hat game is strong...
