Psalm 1:2 His delight is in the law of the Lord; and on His laws he meditates day and night. These sweet little birds are hungry this morning. This one is peeking in wondering what I am doing Lovely sun shining on beautiful falling leaves He has a mouth full of breakfast This is a Christmas present. It is vintage (very vintage) old cruiser. The little boy below who is not a little boy anymore loves everything vintage and old. He is like his older brother. Born in the wrong era I think. We are going to fix this beauty up a little bit after Christmas. He will be SO excited. I have a bit of a pain in my heart area right now while I type this blog entry. Time has flown by so quickly. The job that I have always wanted to have is about to come to become...for lack of better words part time . This precious boy will fly the coop like his brother has and go away to college. I have seen with his older brother that life goes on and they still need their parents, but oh, how I will miss th...

Christmas Movie Memories...

(Please pause the blog music at the bottom of the page and enjoy.) Dear George: Remember no man is a failure who has friends. Thanks for the wings! Love, Clarence Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight? I'm dreaming of a White Christmas Just like the ones I used to know Where the treetops glisten and children listen To hear sleigh bells in the snow. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas With every Christmas card I write May your days be merry and bright And may all your Christmases be white. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas With every Christmas card I write May your days be merry and bright And may all your Christmases be white. Blessings! Amy

Loving Mommy...

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the abode Only one creature was stirring, and she was cleaning the commode. The children were finally sleeping, all snug in their beds, while visions of X-Box and Barbie flipped through their heads. Yes, and dad was snoring in front of the TV, with a half-constructed bicycle propped on his knee. So only the mom heard the reindeer hooves clatter, which made her sigh, “Now what is the matter?” With toilet bowl brush still clutched in her hand, She descended the stairs, and saw the old man. He was covered with ashes and soot, which fell with a shrug. “Oh great,” muttered the mom, “Now I have to clean the rug.” “Ho Ho Ho!” cried Santa, “I'm glad you're awake. your gift was especially difficult to make.” “Thanks, Santa, but all I want is time alone.” “Exactly!" he chuckled, "So, I've made you a clone.” “A clone?” she muttered, “What good is that? Run along, Santa, I've no time for chit chat.” Then out walked th...

The Rich...That Is Me

Do you ever struggle with the fact that we are so very blessed with comfortable, physical things when so many people have so little? Do scriptures like this ever bother you? Matthew 19:21-26 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth. Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” I would not call our family rich compared with people who REALLY have money. But, when I think about it, we are SO rich! We ha...

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...

For unto us a Child is born, To us a Son is giv'n; The government shall rest on Him, Th' anointed One from Heav'n. His name is Wonderful Counselor, The Mighty God is He, The Everlasting Father, The humble Prince of Peace. The increase of His government And peace shall never end; He'll reign on David's ancient throne As ruler of all men. Upheld with justice and righteousness, Forever His kingdom will last; The zeal of the Lord God Most High Will bring these things to pass. Lord Jesus, come now and reign in me, Be Lord of my life this hour. Come be my Counselor and my God, My source of wisdom and power. Watch o'er me with Your Father care, My heart and my mind, fill with peace. I worship You, my Lord and King, My praise will never cease Amy Grant- For Unto Us A Child Is Born, lyrics Blessings

Tis The Season...Basketball

LOTS and lots of basketball. We are having fun watching Wes play this year. Way to go Wes!! These two pictures just make me laugh. Especially the one above. Basketball head. Oh no, here it comes!! Just try and get it...I will smack you just like I did the guy behind me! This is a wonderful, smelly load of chickens we were enjoying being behind at a red light on the way home. They only had a few blocks to go before they took their last cluck! Poor little things. All packed in there like sardines. Inhumane chicken treatment! :) Good grief, they are just chickens ...(Husband comment) Enjoy the rest of this lovely Saturday. Cold front a comin!! Yippee! Blessings. Amy

Good morning! Pssst...my husband is taking the day off to go Christmas Shopping with me! The plan is: Early morning basketball, Einstein Bagels for coffee, short stop at the doctor's office, shop til it is done. I can't wait! A whole day with my sweetheart. Ahhh... We get to watch this youngster play an early morning game in just a little bit. Wow...gotta go! Words for the day: Proverbs 15: 1 and 13 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit. Blessings.
