OH no! I will not be blogging for a little while until we get settled in our new home. Blessings on my friends and family. Love you all! A little prayer for the four of us loading up and driving 3 vehicles for nearly 9 hours in the snow today would be appreciated! Until later!!! Amy

I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas...It Came True!!

I think it has been at least 20 years since we have actually had a white Christmas. I could not get my pictures to load so I put one on that looks like our snow this morning. It started snowing at about two in the morning and just stopped right now at 2:30pm in the afternoon. We lost power this morning at 6:00am and it just now came back on. It was pretty funny how all of us coffee drinkers were figuring out how in the world to make coffee without electricity. We boiled water on the fire...etc. You can imagine. It was quite hilarious. We take alot of comforts for granted let me just say. Anyway, one good thing is when all the heat you have is one fireplace everyone stays right together in a 15 foot area. There was lots of good conversation and laughter, book reading, game playing and napping. No tv or anything electric going on. It was very fun and enjoyable. Blessings on your Christmas Eve. We are loving our White Christmas... where the tree tops glisten and children listen to h

Moving...

Hey! Good morning on this lovely day four days before Christmas! Do you recall the post about that beautiful tree that held a secret? The secret is...we are moving into the lovely trees of East Texas from beautiful West Texas. Below are a couple of pictures of our new home. Sid has been blessed with a wonderful job and we will be closer to Will and to DaddyBob in this new location. He will be working with incredible people and is so excited about his new position. It does mean we will be further from my family but still only 5 or 6 hours away from them. We have sad hearts about moving away from this sweet little town we are in and leaving great friends here. We have had such a blessed time living in Shallowater and watching our boys play football and basketball here. It has been a wonderful place to live. Leaving friends is so terribly hard. We will miss our church family and the families that we love and have gotten to know through Shallowater High School. We are so blessed though tha

21 Years.

Why even think about a second honeymoon......when there's no evidence that you two have even finished your first! “ Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own. ” “ For it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul. ”

Light In The Darkness

Good morning. I feel numb. Body and mind. This is not really a bad thing, just a fact. JoAnn is gone and it does not seem real. Getting older is not easy and seeing people that you love age and pass away is not easy, but it is life and it is ok. I am just thankful this morning for God's unconditional love and for His comfort and for His plan of salvation...and on and on. I am just thankful that I am His. Psalm 18:28 You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. Loved watching Wes play basketball last night. He has done such a great job this year. Quite the player. This was what I saw yesterday at about seven in the morning out my back door. God just puts on a show every morning. Thank you Father for the light... This lovely tree holds a secret...I will share it with you next week. Can't hardly wait to tell you. Blessings on your day...and let's spread His light to everyone we talk to!

She's There...

Phil. 3:20&21 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body . JoAnn Walker went into the arms of Jesus last night. Sid's Mom has been a light in this dark world to so many people. There are not enough words to describe how she has furthered the Kingdom for God and for how she has touched and loved so many. How do you put a person's life into words? You can't. JoAnn is our first parent to loose. I woke up this morning thinking that something was missing. To not have this lovely person on earth anymore cheering us on and encouraging us is really hard and well, strange. She is woven so tightly into our hearts and the fabric of our lives. But, the beauty of in the midst of sadness is that we will continue to live growing closer to our God because of her guidance and love and
