Nice Day...

Just a quick post then we are off to a SUPER BOWL super party.

It has been a very busy, wild few days. With basketball, dissertation work (Sid), baking and cooking, exercise, hair cuts, etc. We were blessed to be able to host a coffee and fellowship time before church this morning. It was fun having time to actually visit a little bit with our brother's and sister's before class and worship.

Wonderful thoughts from worship last Sunday...
Holy Adventure...
Cows are creatures of habit. They follow each other on cow trails.

We like our routines, just like cows, and we follow the same trails and follow behind other people.

We need to get off the path and be spiritually creative.

Ask for help from God to step out of our comfortable lives and our ruts and have Holy Adventure in our lives.

We get a little nervous and fearful when we step out of our routine.

Hebrews 11:8
It was by faith Abraham obeyed God's call to go to another place God promised to give him. He left his own country, not knowing where he was to go.

Can we be like Abraham and step out in faith and experience what ever Holy Adventure that God might have in store for us?
Are we going to be satisfied with status quo and walking on the cow path?
God is not calling us to a small life.
We need to want to be daring for God. He calls us to Holy Adventure.
Even if that just means...
Smiling at everyone we meet.
Being helpful and loving instead of impatient and grumpy.
Daring to speak His name to people we don't know.
Volunteering somewhere like a soup kitchen or food bank or a hospital.
Maybe taking a missions vacation instead of a vacation, vacation.
Hopefully our Holy Adventure will take us out of our comfort zone.
Hopefully we will get used to, and look forward to
and get excited about new adventures God will take us on.
We only get one life...let's spend it mightily!
Our coffee and fellowship time this morning...

Wes did our coffee and fellowship time email advertisement.
Looks pretty good!
This is just a silly photo of our youngest. He looks like Link out of Encino Man. Goofy.

Hair before manditory haircut today...
Hair after. ahh...

We did not get much snow but it sure was beautiful as it glistened on everything.

Blessings! Talk to you soon. Amy
