Going's On...

I love how the word of God is so comforting. I love how when I get anxious about something just reading God's word is calming and anchoring and empowering. These words this morning were a blessing to me:

Ps. 27:1- The Lord is my light and salvation- whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?

Be wise about what is good. Innocent about what is evil. Romans 16:19

What incredible advise. Be smart and focus on the good...and you better be really innocent and not politically correct or know all about what is evil. What we focus on we are.

Will called from Haiti last night. SO good to hear his voice. They are all doing great and he said that 15 or so of the orphans gave their lives and hearts to God yesterday! You can see below in the pictures that the building they are working on is coming along nicely. He said they are really tired but very happy.

We have been traveling up and down this road for many days working on the house the boys will be living in while in school. I love this spot in the forest road. So shady and gorgeous.
It is so dry and hot but here in east Texas even though we are in a drought we have had a little more rain than family and friends in west Texas. This photo is for them. Flowers and green grass. We walk past this house every time we walk. Refreshing and beautiful. Praying for rain, especially for west Texas rain.

This is the way a lot of Texas is looking. So sad. This is a tank or pond believe it or not.
We are turning a small one car garage in the house the boys are going to live in into a bedroom and small bathroom. Waa Laa...hopefully it will be finished in about a week and half. Wishful thinking. It is fun to watch it come together.

One cool find yesterday...Wes and I found this table and chairs at Goodwill for fifty dollars. Pretty exciting!

It needs a good sanding and stain but for right now it will be fine for all of these boys.

So...today we continue on with our list of things to get done before the guys go to school.

I pray that your day is a blessed and wonderful one. Love, Amy

Oh, that's a great table! My DD is renting a house for the first time in her college life and we are thinking we'll be looking for some goodies like that soon! Congrats on a great find!
