Think cool...

California cool temps...dreaming

Just imagine walking along in a sweatshirt feeling a little chilly but barefoot with your feet in the cold sand and water. Ahh...nice.
Or just close your eyes and think about a cold night like the one below with the snow gently falling and making a beautiful white covering on everything.

It's 81 degrees at 6:30 a.m. It is going to hit 106 or higher this afternoon. Wow. I do believe that this heat can make us a bit disgruntled. Testy. Despondent. Sure does make you dream of that first real cold (or even cool) front or somewhere cool or cold like the pictures above. Of course here where we live that possibility is days and days off in the future.

I am going to try to find positives today and not dwell on how stinkin hot it is. Not a day goes by that I don't give thanks for air conditioning. What an incredible invention!

Words of encouragment from the Word this morning...

Ps. 20: 4

May He give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

Proverbs 20:7

The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him.

Our boys come home from camp this Sat. Will leaves on a mission trip to Haiti on Sunday. There is a tropical storm over Haiti right now and the poor people there living in tents are in danger from mudslides and of course disease such a cholera which as has killed 15,000 people in Haiti since the earthquake.

We appreciate your prayers for protection over him and a successful mission trip for the group. I pray that they will help as many people as they can and spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

Blessings on your day! Even though it will be a hot one...

let's be positive and keep our attitudes cool. Amy

Hi Amy! It's pretty stinkin hot here too! That cracked me up because stinkin is one of my favorite adjectives! We were blessed with a surprise 15 minute rainfall about 5 p.m. yesterday, though! I pray all goes well with the Haiti trip - I visited with a Nashville nurse who just spent a week there. We really can't appreciate the simple blessings of living here - I'm sure your son will benefit in that way, and they'll give hope to the Haitians.
UGH...this darn heat! It's been about 115 here..plus heat index. We welcomed the rain last night and the hail and wind that tagged along. 2.3 inches of moisture was a blessing. Now today it's 95 and 95% humidity. BUT. More chances of rain!!

Good word and I will keep Will in prayer as well as that country.

I have been behind on my blog reading! Special prayers for Will (and you) as he goes to Haiti. We had a group that went at the beginning of June. I know he will be God's hands to the people there!
