All In A Day...

Hi! I went to see my kiddos yesterday and went to a suprise party for our oldest. What a blessing to be there to see the boys with their friends and get to have a peek into their lives. They have THE BEST brother's and sister's in Christ.  By the way...the picture above is of a gorgeous barn that is on the road home and I have always wanted to stop and photograph it. Since I was by myself this morning and it was lovely outside and sunny, I just stopped and clicked a few and admired the beauty. Ahh...
Speaking of Will...he introduced me to Switchfoot years ago and I just downloaded their new album, "Vice Verses."  It is powerful and moving and I love it.  I know, an old person like me should not be into rockin music but I just can't help myself. The words to their songs just move me and they touch on the heart of what I feel about Jesus most of the time and the urgency to tell the story and to live out loud. Thank you Jon Foreman for letting God use you to speak for Him. This is one of my favorite songs off of this album. It is called Where I Belong. Here are a few of the lyrics...

Until I die I'll sing these songs

On the shores of Babylon
Still looking for a home
In a world where I belong

Where the weak are finally strong
Where the righteous right the wrongs
Still looking for a home
In a world where I belong

Feels like we're just waiting, waiting
While are hearts are just breaking, breaking
Feels like we're fighting against the tide

I wanna see the earth shaking
I wanna see a generation
Finally waking up inside

Until I die I'll sing these songs
Still looking for a home
In a world where I belong

This body's not my own
This world is not my own
But I can hear the sound
Of my heart beating out
So let's go boys, play it loud

On the final day I die
I want to hold my head up high
I want to tell You that I tried
To live it like a song

And when I reach the other side
I want to look You in the eye
And know that I've arrived
In a world where I belong

When I arrived home today I was blessed to be able to help after ladies Bible class with packing up our Christmas boxes for children in Haiti. What fun it was to see all of the carefully chosen gifts for the sweet children that will love getting these gifts for Christmas. It was fun. Wish I could be there to see the excitement when they open them.
Have I told you how much I just love being with these boys? I am sure that I have, but I love their goofy, fun, silliness and the fact that they don't mind being with their mama. Whenever we are in Cracker Barrel they always go straight to the candle section to smell and make each other guess what each smells like. Strange I know...but fun.
I miss their daily silliness but am thankful for the every now and then time together.

I'm off to a meeting and then am anticipating a nice long walk with my husband.
The best things in life are not things. So true.
Blessings. Amy

O, so true. I have a couple of magnets on my refrigerator. One says "Blessed are those who rejoice in the little things." Another says "The best things in life are not things." They really confused my youngest for a long time! Neat little trip you had!
