Mountains of New Mexico- Road Trip...

Hey there! We just got back from our annual trip to the Red River Family Encampment. For 23 years we have been blessed to be able to head to the cool New Mexico mountains for great fellowship and family fun.
Our boys and their Blue Haven friends all headed over on Friday and stayed the night and enjoyed most of Sat. with us. It was a special time getting to be with them.
Even the creepy looking kid in the back of this picture! :)
Sweet, sweet sisters. I always enjoy our time together.
Blue Haven bunch and sweet Wesley.

 Our little chipmunk friends.
What a gorgeous place we were blessed to stay at. Cool, green and shady.
It was fun to sing one more time with my family.  I know that we are not promised more time with the people we love. I am thankful for every day and every minute.
Speaking of people we love, Colt and Rachel were with us for a few days.
It has been at least five years since Colt has been back to the
encampment and this was Rachel's first time.
What a blessing to spend time with both of them.
We have taken many pictures of our kids behind this little bear at Shotgun Willies Cafe.
This brought back precious memories of times gone by.
If you are ever in Red River I recommend breakfast there.
My wonderful husband's hands. He was reading his bible in the early morning sunlight.
We made a flying trip down to Blue Haven with Colt and Rachel.
We caught this gorgeous sky after opening campfire Sunday night.
Cousins together again. Open your eyes Wesley!
On the way back to Red River we passed an Alpaca farm. God must have a wonderful sense of humor.

It was awesome to worship with so many people.
As we drove out early one morning we saw a big herd of elk.
They are so majestic and beautfiul.
This part of the country sure holds a special place in our hearts.
It is indeed the Land of Enchantment.
I am thankful for the time we have spent in these gorgeous mountains.
As we headed home to 105 degree temps
I REALLYappreciated the cool 38 degrees we were driving out of.
1 Thess. 5:16-18
 Rejoice always,  pray continually,
give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Blessings! Talk to you soon. Amy

What a wonderful family treasure...I loved the picture of your husband's hands on the Word. Glad you were able to enjoy this again...and you weren't near the fires.

Wow, 23 years of that. Wonderful tradition! That's the kind of thing the kids will always come for...

Loved the pictures along the way!

Twenty-three years, cool. I've only been there for two and I already love it. My family did, too. Kristin and I enjoyed it so much more this year having Cheryl and Wes there.

It was great to hear your family sing. When we got back I put two of your cds on my iPod. You guys are good!
