Moving...

Hey! Good morning on this lovely day four days before Christmas! Do you recall the post about that beautiful tree that held a secret? The secret is...we are moving into the lovely trees of East Texas from beautiful West Texas. Below are a couple of pictures of our new home.

Sid has been blessed with a wonderful job and we will be closer to Will and to DaddyBob in this new location. He will be working with incredible people and is so excited about his new position. It does mean we will be further from my family but still only 5 or 6 hours away from them. We have sad hearts about moving away from this sweet little town we are in and leaving great friends here. We have had such a blessed time living in Shallowater and watching our boys play football and basketball here. It has been a wonderful place to live. Leaving friends is so terribly hard. We will miss our church family and the families that we love and have gotten to know through Shallowater High School. We are so blessed though that 10 years ago we lived in the beautiful town that we are moving to and so we have some cherished friends that we will be able to be with again.

God is good and is constant and is awesome. We are thankful for a good job in these difficult times when so many are struggling with loosing their jobs.

I also wanted to post these great thoughts and my father-in-law sent us a few days ago.

Jesus is Better than Santa
Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.
Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.
Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.
It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.
Jesus is still the reason for the season.

May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas 2009
And may He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New Year.

Blessings and MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Amy

Look at all those TREES around your new house!! Lots more raking to do!

When do ya'll move? When does Sid start his job?

Are ya'll staying home for Christmas?

I know you've got LOTS on your plate right now. Am praying for peace in the midst of the "storm".

Enjoying having Jedidiah here -- but makes me sad in a way too...

Hope to see ya'll while we are in the States. Jed was happy ya'll would be closer to where he is.

Love ya!
Blessings!
Wow! East Texas! That is close to some of Joshua's family! Good luck with the move and transition of life as well as change in job. I know you guys will make new friendships and the old ones you will be able to pick up where you left off. Thank you for the poem about Santa and Jesus. Great reminders as always!
