If you have not registered and retained your spot as a returning camper for this coming summer you need to do it by Feb. 15th! You will loose your spot if you don't remember to register by that date. If you are interested in registering as a first time camper go here and register:

There are still a few openings in a few sessions. There is a waiting list in other sessions and if you don't register as a returning camper your spot will be filled with campers on the waiting list.

Camp Blue Haven is a one- or two-week camp for youth entering fifth grade through high school graduates. Located in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range in New Mexico, the camp provides lots of fun in the outdoors. God’s scenic beauty serves to enhance the spiritual atmosphere of the camping sessions. Christians worshipping God and helping others grow in the likeness of Christ while singing, praying, studying and playing together makes for an unforgettable experience.

A typical summer will see between 1000 and 1200 campers in attendance from all over the Southwest. There is no discrimination because of race, color, national origin or religious affiliation.

The Camp’s 1,100 acres consist of rugged mountain terrain covered with an abundance of pine, spruce and aspen. The 160,000 acre Santa Fe National Forest adjoins Blue Haven property. Two beautiful streams, the Blue and the Tecolote, flow through camp property and there are two man made ponds which are stocked each year with trout for fishing.

How much fun does is that!!!! I love summer camps with Christians! My little girl got to go for the first time last year.

Red Velvet Trifle...

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Mom's Apricot Cobbler...

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy.
