Alaska-How Do You Describe...
Such a wonderful trip?
Alaska is breathtaking.
No way to adequately describe such a wonderful place or precious time together...
But I will try. A little.
Blue tinted glaciers are other-worldly...
Ships that stay afloat in rough seas while serving up yummy food and entertainment and pull right up to secluded little towns that seem lost from other parts of the world...
My heart warmed as a saw my steadfast, sweet mother reading her Bible everyday. Strength from the Word. I love this picture of her hands on her Bible.
Quirky little animals on your bed when you come back from wandering on the ship...
So cute!
Beautiful desserts and artistic, good food. And, you don't have to cook it yourself. Nice.
Views that are so beautiful they don't look real.
Flowers. Just beautiful flowers.
Sitting in random coffee shops, watching the mist fall and the people pass by. Marveling that we were in the Gold Rush town of Skagway, Alaska.
Giggling and loving each new creation in our room...
Taking goofy pictures on one of multiple elevator rides. Being thankful that my sister's (in law) put up with all of my picture taking.
Marveling at God's handiwork...
Loving being with my Mama...
Being astounded at how beautiful the light looked on the water...
Feeling like crying because of the blessing of seeing such beauty...
Seeing hundreds of waterfalls streaming down the sides of mountains. Unbelievable...
Seeing a glacier in person and being so touched that we just had to sing to God. One of those moments...
Laughing at the Sea Lions and holding my nose because they stink so bad...
Dressing up with the girls and eating in a fancy dining room. Laughing and loving it...
Wishing that I could move to Alaska for even just a year and live in that beauty and to see if I am tough enough to do it..
Having the thought quite a few times that my sister-in-laws are some of the prettiest girls on the earth...
Well, I have decided there is no way to put into words how gorgeous Alaska is and no way to describe how much I loved this time away with my Mom and the girls. It was a blessing. When I am old and sitting in a rocking chair and walking down memory lane in my mind I am sure I will think about this trip. I will be remembering the time I can't adequately describe. If God made such beauty for us to enjoy on earth, can you even fathom what heaven will look and be like? Wow. Just Wow.
Thanks for the fun girls and thank you Dad for sending us!
Blessings! Amy
