Camp Blue Haven- Round 2...

Camp Blue Haven 1st Session 2015...

Image
Nothing like supper around the campfire. Photo taken by our youngest gentle giant.  Hello Hermit's Peak! The first glimpse of this mountain makes us feel like we have come home... Forever friends...  Silly, silly, hard working, wonderful brother...  And again... He and his precious wife have fought hard battles and cried tears over campers and struggled against the powers of this dark world in the fight for their souls to belong to Jesus. Helps me to remember we are all on mission.  We are living in a messy mission field right here in our American Dream world.   Camp sisters are heart sisters... Thankful that we share love for this place as a family. Words cannot describe what being involved with CBH has meant for all of us spiritually.   Sweet Sandy... Our sweet Wesley and friend Randi...  Sweethearts... Gorgeous view of a ranch in the valley before you get to CBH... ...

Home Projects and a Birthday...

Image
Hey friends! See these two lovely people? They helped me celebrate my Birthday at our favorite pizza parlor today. Love having them close and seeing their smiling faces. What a blessing. Our youngest gentle giant is in the middle of a great summer at camp and is loving telling campers about how to love Jesus better.  Miss him and so proud of him.  We have been having lots of fun remodeling our house we just moved into. Yes, it was not long ago we moved, (last year) but we had the opportunity to lease our last house and jumped on it. You must do that when you are accumulating rentals. We are pretty tired and sore and worn out but are bouncing back some now. I had a blast redoing the top of the fireplace the last few days. I have to admit I have watched too many "Fixer Upper" episodes and have fallen in love with the "shiplap" look. So, I figured- it didn't look too hard and gave it a go. After one broken blood vessel and several blisters from hammerin...

Happy Independence Day!...

O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed His grace on thee, And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea! O beautiful for pilgrim feet, Whose stern impassion’d stress A thoroughfare for freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine ev’ry flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law! Today we thank God for our country. Even more, we are thankful to be citizens of a better Kingdom where Jesus is King and freedom is eternal. Happy 4th!! We are having family over today and these fun and easy foodie items are already prepared and ready to be eaten. 4th food is fun to make and pretty too! Fruit skewers... Flag Salad... No, we are not preparing and eating this boy. I just miss his face and wanted you to know that. Happy 4th of July my sweet Wesley! Have a wonderful celebration today!
