 Today we thank God for our country. Even more, we are thankful to be citizens of a better Kingdom where Jesus is King and freedom is eternal.
Happy 4th!! We are having family over today and these fun and easy foodie items are already prepared and ready to be eaten. 4th food is fun to make and pretty too!

Thanks for putting the lyrics on here for America the Beautiful! I think sometimes these songs are going the way of our old hymns! I didn't realize that verse said "God mend thine every flaw." Wow, just think if we all had that mindset!

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy. Red Velvet Trifle...

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Enjoy.  Alaska memories. Love this fat Santa above. Thrilled with how this little wreath turned out. Happy Christmas decorating! Remember: Your family probably does not care if your house looks like something out of Southern Living. They love the traditions and old ornaments and chipped Christmas mugs and plates. Mr. and Mrs. Colt McCoy It was an wonderful weekend of wedding fun. From the rehearsal to wedding day luncheon to reception. I am thankful we were able to be there and share in the fun and memories. Table at Rehearsal dinner. Sweet. Bridal luncheon. Lots of smiles and laughter. Beautiful girls. Mothers, Grandmothers, Rachel and Aunts. Lots of them! Debra and her sweet sisters and sisters in law's Austin My goofy boys. They make me smile. They were waiting for two hours for the wedding. More goofy, sweet boys. Brad and Dick and Tammy.
