2 old favorite songs

Ok, I know these two song are by the Dixie Chicks. They are two of my favorite songs and I stopped listening to them after they made that comment about President Bush a few years ago. I will never buy anything else sung by them but I really love these two songs. I consider them still ok to listen to because it was before they opened their mouths and expressed their political thoughts. Big mistake... it cost them their music careers. I guess they got their wish getting President Bush out of office. As for me...I love that man. I miss him and I think in the not too distant future we will all be missing him tremendously.

Amy, I could not agree more with you when it comes to President Bush and I am afraid your right about the near future. I pray everyday about the future of our great country. As far as the Dixie Chicks, I agree with anonymous, yes they have the harmony but I just can't go back there with them either and I will be honest, I don't feel I am missing much by not listening to them. It is definitely not something I lose sleep over.

Neecie: Thanks for the comments. I pray for our new president and the future of our country too. I was not trying to be mean about the D. Chicks, but they really made me mad. Yes, gorgeous harmony, but there are a lot of groups with close beautiful harmony. Hope your day is a good one. Amy

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy. Red Velvet Trifle...

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Enjoy.  Alaska memories. Love this fat Santa above. Thrilled with how this little wreath turned out. Happy Christmas decorating!
