National Championship! Go Longhorns! Go Colt!

Well, this is the day. Whew...butterflies abound- in my stomach. I wish we were in Pasadena with the rest of the family! We will be yelling loud right here in our own living room.
So proud of Colt and so proud of how he glorifies God.

"Father please bless him, keep him safe and help to to play to the best of his ability, for You Father, so that Your name can be heard in front of so many people."
Colt's favorite verse that he puts on everything when he signs autographs is:
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord and not for men, since you know you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
It is the Lord Jesus Christ you are serving.

I'm not a Longhorn fan, but tonight I'll be rooting for 'em! I'm also thankful that Mexico TV is covering the game! If they weren't, I was about to spend my evening across the border! *What a great picture, too!* Happy National Championship Day!

I'm so sad. Praying for Colt now, and not just for his injury but for the sadness I'm sure he feels. :(

Thank you Candie. We are heartbroken for him. Thank you for praying for him. My Mom is there and asked us all to pray for his state of mind. Such a sad ending in a game that obviously he was on fire to win and I think he would have. Thanks friend!

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy. Red Velvet Trifle...

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Enjoy.  Alaska memories. Love this fat Santa above. Thrilled with how this little wreath turned out. Happy Christmas decorating! Remember: Your family probably does not care if your house looks like something out of Southern Living. They love the traditions and old ornaments and chipped Christmas mugs and plates. Mr. and Mrs. Colt McCoy It was an wonderful weekend of wedding fun. From the rehearsal to wedding day luncheon to reception. I am thankful we were able to be there and share in the fun and memories. Table at Rehearsal dinner. Sweet. Bridal luncheon. Lots of smiles and laughter. Beautiful girls. Mothers, Grandmothers, Rachel and Aunts. Lots of them!
