More Snow Pics!!!

So, what is it about snow that turns me into a 10 year old again? I think I was just as or more excited than my boys and Sid about everyone having a snow day. As we went out to take pictures early this morning I saw that I was not the only one that had a joyful look on my face. From little child to middle aged men to older women...they were out walking and smiling and building snowmen, having snowball fights. I did not see one person that was not wearing a smile. Thank you Father for this awesome beauty and the joy it has brought us all this morning.
You thrill my soul.

Mom's Apricot Cobbler...

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy. Red Velvet Trifle...

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Mr. and Mrs. Colt McCoy It was an wonderful weekend of wedding fun. From the rehearsal to wedding day luncheon to reception. I am thankful we were able to be there and share in the fun and memories. Table at Rehearsal dinner. Sweet. Bridal luncheon. Lots of smiles and laughter. Beautiful girls. Mothers, Grandmothers, Rachel and Aunts. Lots of them!
