Flu...To Live or Die...That Is The Question...

The doc says it is a cold.
I'm not buying it.
I think this stuff has taken a turn for the worse.
I think if we went back in and did a flu swab it would say YES but it just did not look like the flu three days ago.
Advil is my friend and...
hot tea
kleenex
lots of blankets
cough meds
my trusty cold corn pillow
and sleep.
Hoping to feel more alive tomorrow. Please.
Sid is seeking some Vit. D. hoping the sun will help him get well.

Was feeling decent enough to throw together some chicken soup a few days ago. Luckily a sweet friend brought by some corn chowder too. Eating has not been a high priority. You know I am sick when I can say that. :)

 I've been watching the birds when I can get up off the couch. They are liking the sun too.

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Mom's Apricot Cobbler...

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy.
