The Storm...And A Few Other Thoughts...
We had a straight-line pretty ferocious storm blow through a few mornings ago. Afterward I went out to check on Jack. As you can see below, he was doing just fine. After all he does have a deep hole to run into. Cutie pie.
Our back porch table did not fare so well. I heard a big crash during the storm as the wind was howling and this was the result. I think the wind picked the umbrella up and slammed it back down funny and it busted the table. Sad. Yuck. On another random note. I miss Will. I walked by his room this morning and I just missed him. He had a rough day yesterday. I know that learning to stand on your own is what our kids are supposed to do but I sure with I could have given him a hug. I thought of these wonderful Winnie the Pooh words about when we are down on ourselves... “If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you.” Of course I also like these Winnie the Pooh quotes... “It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?"” :) and “You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.” Winnie the Pooh wisdom. Sweet little bear.
More randomness...my new little flowers in the planter by the front door are looking pretty happy and content this morning. So are these little beauties. I cannot show you any more of the flower beds. Right now they are AWFUL. Well, not awful but we have a lot of empty space and not a lot of flowers at the moment. We have such large flower beds. A little overwhelming. That I will put off until another day... This boy makes me laugh. He did not want to take seniors pictures and I had to bug him for weeks to pose for me. He kind of got into it as we snapped and snapped different pictures. Yesterday he was in the kitchen and said..."Take a picture of me in my sun glasses." Silly and goofy boy. I have created a posing monster. So...on this quiet Thurs. morning I wish you a blessed and beautiful day. Luke 11:9- So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.
