Beautiful Love...

Wes and I are up in the beautiful mountains of New Mexico while Sid is home working away in the Texas heat. Sorry honey. First session of camp was so wonderful. Like I have said before...a little taste of heaven. We all learned so much. Campers and adults alike. Friendships were strengthened and spiritual renewal was felt.
Now...I want to shout hallelujah about how God moves in people's lives in this post. The beautiful couple in these pictures are two past Blue Haven counselors. Jared Brock and Britni Johnson. Little did these two know that when they came to camp to bless campers that they would find each other. They both hold a tight grip on my heart because of what they have meant and mean to my family. Britni has been in our world for many years first through the Red River Encampment and then CBH. She has a heart for God...never ending and never giving up. Both our boys had Jared as a counselor in the past years at camp. His love for the Lord and the way he has challenged our boys to be men of God and to be in the Word has made a huge impact on them. They will be married at camp this weekend. God is so good. I am so thankful.



I will not be able to get internet connection very often up here for the next few weeks. I will get back on as soon as I can. Blessings, blessings, blessings on your every day! Focus on Jesus!

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Mom's Apricot Cobbler...

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy.
