Lovely Rooms and Such...

We were blessed to see a lovely Bed and Breakfast spot last week when we enjoyed our Ladies Night Out Pajama Party. This was the living room. Absolutely one of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen.
Our ladies from church...in their p.j.'s. Yes, it was fun and silly and a great time of fellowship.

Jumping forward a few days. Some good friends of ours asked us over for Sunday lunch.
This is her table. Isn't it lovely?
 Her stove top area...Jenni loves chickens and roosters. No wonder I love her kitchen.
 They have a salt water pool. Beautiful water color and landscaping.
This is without a doubt my favorite "room area" so far. Outside fireplace. Love.
Wait, I take it back. THIS is my favorite.

Now, I am getting off of this contraption. I have been under the weather a bit and am feeling a little better today so this is my motto for the day (for all you Downton Abbey lovers)...stop whining about not feeling perfect and get busy. :)

Mom's Apricot Cobbler...

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy. Red Velvet Trifle...

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Enjoy.  Alaska memories. Love this fat Santa above. Thrilled with how this little wreath turned out. Happy Christmas decorating! Remember: Your family probably does not care if your house looks like something out of Southern Living. They love the traditions and old ornaments and chipped Christmas mugs and plates. Enchanted Wedding. Rachel and Colt

Mr. and Mrs. Colt McCoy It was an wonderful weekend of wedding fun. From the rehearsal to wedding day luncheon to reception. I am thankful we were able to be there and share in the fun and memories. Table at Rehearsal dinner. Sweet. Bridal luncheon. Lots of smiles and laughter. Beautiful girls. Mothers, Grandmothers, Rachel and Aunts. Lots of them!
