Comfortable Danger...



Good morning.

We are not perfect.

No couples are perfect.

The one thing I know it this:

God has a perfect way to order our lives.

God first, my husband second and myself last.

When married people have this order right, it works.

Another thing I know is-

When we fall out of love with God it makes it easier to fall out of love with each other.

Don't be stupid and go into comfortable danger or into neutral.

Don't be lulled into letting Satan tear at the fabric of your love for Him or your spouse.

See the battle, see the big picture.

The Destroyer likes to try to trip us up where we think we cannot be affected.

Spend time with God first. Daily time. Spirit filled, thankful time.

Stay in love with God.

Stay in love with the person you love.

It's not simple, but it's simple.


1 Peter 5: 8-9
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Mom's Apricot Cobbler...

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy. Camp Blue Haven-2012

Mountains green, sparkling streams, every morning you greet me. Pine trees tall, waterfalls, blue skies canopied o'er me. May I know as I live and grow, God forsakes me never. May His love from above bless Blue Haven forever.  And what a blessing it was this summer to be back up in the cool mountains with so many people that we love.  As I reflected on this special place I thought about how big of an influence it has been on our children and our hearts.  At camp time slows down. There are so few distractions. The focus is on fellowship, enjoying God's creation and growing in knowledge of Him.  It has been a place to teach us what our life in this world should be about. It has also been a glimpse of what I think heaven will be a little like.  It has taught us to stay close to one another, to be accountable to each other and to live an out loud life for Christ.
