Homeward Bound...

Tomorrow, this gentle giant will be home...
Cannot wait to get big bear hugs from Will (the hippy) and from Case.
Praying for blessings on your last day in Peru boys.
Praying also for safety and a pleasant flight home.
Then...in a few weeks we will welcome Thor home, seen here with one of our favorite people in the world. Caleb Henderson. Camp Blue Haven has blessed this boy so much this summer.
So, we are very ready to go somewhere like this and have hours to talk about the adventures of the summer. Something so wonderful about the prospect of all members of our little family under one roof having lots of time to reflect and talk and laugh and enjoy each other's company.
God You are good.

I pray my children grow with hearts for the Lord like yours have! It is my prayer every day! I hope you get your time with both gentle giants VERY soon! I know they will have some great stories to share with you!

It is melt in your mouth good! Ok, I know that yesterday I wrote about not eating any more sugar and I'm not. This is for YOU. I just had to give you Mom's recipe. It is so easy and so incredibly yummy. Hope that you enjoy it. It smells heavenly while cooking too. Easy Apricot Cobbler Jan McCoy 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 2 Tbs. Baking Powder (Mix well in mixing bowl) Add 1 cup Milk and about a third cup of oil Mix well. Pour in oblong Pyrex cake pan. Heat at least 1 quart of sweetened fruit (apricots) to boiling. Pour on top of the batter. Add dollop (don't you love the word dollop?) of butter and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until brown. Enjoy. Red Velvet Trifle...

So easy it's embarrassing! Here it is: One box of Betty Crocker Red Velvet Cake mix. 1 semi sweet choc. chips 1 small Half and Half- (use half a cup) 1small carton of whipping cream 1 package of cream cheese Half cup sugar Bake cake (follow box directions), let cool and crumble. Stir together cream cheese, sugar and whipping cream with blender until smooth. Melt chocolate chips in bowl and then add half and half. Stir until smooth. Layer in trifle dish. Enjoy.  Alaska memories. Love this fat Santa above. Thrilled with how this little wreath turned out. Happy Christmas decorating! Mr. and Mrs. Colt McCoy It was an wonderful weekend of wedding fun. From the rehearsal to wedding day luncheon to reception. I am thankful we were able to be there and share in the fun and memories. Table at Rehearsal dinner. Sweet. Bridal luncheon. Lots of smiles and laughter. Beautiful girls. Mothers, Grandmothers, Rachel and Aunts. Lots of them!
