So It Begins...

Our precious Candace and Will had their first of two wedding showers last Sunday.  How wonderful it is to be in fellowship in a loving church.  It is such a great blessing to be cared for by people that love God and love to bless and encourage their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Thank you to all who worked so hard decorating and cooking and making this shower for our kids so lovely and enjoyable. Thank you also to all of the sweet people who blessed them with gifts that they will enjoy for so many years to come. Overwhelmed with how loving and giving you are. Thankful. So thankful.
My wonderful Mom was able to come visit for a few days and be at the shower.
It was a special time for all of us to be together.
 Wasn't this table lovely??!!
This was a couples shower. I had never been to a couples shower before. Let me tell you- it was a great hit! Our good friend and cousin Kelly Davidson was the barista and made out of this world lattes for everyone. So fun and yummy!!

 Aren't they sweet?!
Candace and her mom Carole and Will.
I am so blessed to have a new, awesome friend in her mother.
I can see why Candace is so precious and sweet. Her mom is too. Blessed.
 The decorations were so gorgeous.
It was a perfect afternoon. One to cherish and keep in our memories for a long time to come.
So- it begins. Countdown to the wedding day.
I love Gods promises.
Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!

Now that grad classes are over I am back to blog world - and oh how I've missed you. I'm so thankful to see your genuine excitement in gaining a daughter. That feeling is not always present as mothers see their son's taking this step. I am so happy for this young lady and her future with your family. She looks very kind. Best wishes as your family grows. On another note - Colt is coming to our church extension for a men's leadership conference the last weekend in March. It's been exciting to watch his clip amongst the other mens' as the "welcome/invitation video" each week at church. Thankful for you and hope you're doing well.
