Wedding Weekend- Rehearsal Dinner...

What a whirlwind- incredible wedding weekend.
All I heard about being the parent of someone getting married was that it was expensive (true) and crazy and a exhausting, etc. and on and on.
Most comments were not all that positive.
Yes, it was tiring but what people did not talk about was how awesome the fellowship and what a blessing to be in the midst of so many people that you love.
I would do this past weekend over and over again.
Joyful. It was joyful.
We had the rehearsal dinner at a nice Mexican food place called Blue Mesa Grill.
These are a few of the table decorations that we worked on for a few weeks before.
It was so much fun getting all of this ready and watching it come together.
The picture frames above were just cheap black frames from the Dollar store with pics of our kids in them. You just tape the sides together inside and leave the back cover of the frames off so that candle light shines through the pictures. Loved this idea and it turned out so very sweet.

One of the most special parts of this celebration evening was asking friends and family to write on a special card a sweet memory or blessing or scripture to put in the Words of Blessing jar in the pic below.  We took a few minutes for anyone that wanted to speak about what they wrote or give a blessing to Will or Candace. The words that were spoken were precious and important and Godly.  It is a beautiful thing to watch people talk about their love for God and for their friends.  I will never forget it. It was a huge blessing.
My handsome and wonderful husband and Candace's brother Aaron below ended this time with their own words of blessing for the couple.

Psalm 127:3-5
Children are a heritage from the Lord,
    offspring a reward from him.
Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are children born in one’s youth.
Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.

I was so thankful that Rachel McCoy graciously took my camera and took pictures through the evening. She caught this sweet pic of my brother and wife holding hands.
Man, I love these two people.
Precious photo of GranJan and Colt...(Rachel is his most lovely and sweet wife. Since she was taking pictures I did not get any of her. That is a shame. She is beautiful inside and out.)
  Aren't they cute?
 Sweethearts. Forever.
Wes and Will share a lot of the same super friends.
Here he is posing with some of them.

My little bro and his sweet Kylee girl.
We have been home about 24 hours now and I feel like I have been hit by a truck. :)
Rest has been good.
Now- what to do with all of these lemons?
Goodness.

I'm glad it was so wonderful! I love it when people share their thoughts or blessings publicly. We just don't do that enough! Loved your decorations and I don't know what to tell you about the lemons - I bought a bunch to make a new lemon bar recipe and didn't use all of them and they go bad pretty quick! Maybe you could squeeze them all and freeze the juice in ice cube trays to have little blocks to use for later?
Oh how precious! Having gone through two weddings last year of my own children, I know how precious this is...God is good!!
